Hi,
If I create a sub folder in SharePoint, break inheritence, and set folder permissions explicitly, why does it then inherit a permission that I add to the root folder? Is there something I'm missing? I've followed the online and automated support and it doesn't help unless I completely restructure our file server which we're building out, and unfortunately that's not an option. Can anyone help? Ideally I want a top level folder "IT" and a sub folder "Confidential", and I want "Confidential" to be hidden regardless whether I add another root folder permission to "IT".
