How to find missing backups in Microsoft Authenticator

I previously had backed up my stuffs into my account in Authenticaor, specifically Microsoft Authenticator. but then unforeseen things happened, and i had to reset my phone in effect. i figured it should be fine, i had everything backed up already, i can just access it. i downloaded the app, i went in, logged in and toggle the back up on. but then there's nothing. nothing's there. all my accounts are gone. missing. and i needed to access the authentication code for each of one of them. what should i do?
