Changed passwords but keep getting authenticator requests

I am receiving repeated Microsoft Authenticator MFA push requests from different countries even after changing my password multiple times and signing out of all devices.

My sign-in activity shows no successful or failed login attempts. Despite this, MFA push notifications continue to occur.

This appears to be MFA push spam or repeated blocked sign-in attempts that are not visible in user-level logs. What can i do ?

I have the same issue for the last several months. Even reveiwing the activity log - I cannot see where it is being requested from like I used to in the past.... Changed my password several different times in one day and the spam got worse for the request.

I am having the same issue. I have logged out from my account on all devices using the Microsoft settings shortcut to do so. Changed my password to something that is extremely long and that was auto-generated, yet i keep getting these notifications on my authenticator app.
I just want Microsoft to look into the topic and just make sure this isn't a bug on their end. Generally, its fine because i keep declining, nonetheless it is an annoyance.
*EDIT: I also wanted to add that in the login activity it shows no failed attempt eventhough i have denied access now several times.

I have the same problem; it's probably someone trying to steal the accounts. As of January 17, 2026, it continuously requests email verification codes from countries such as the USA, Taiwan, and Germany. What is the definitive solution to this?

Also having this issue. Doesn't show any sign in attempts, it's been happening for about a week now for me. Sometimes it's almost 2-3 in an hour. I had to turn off notifications because it won't stop happen

Has anyone provided a resolution to this issue? I cannot see where all of the login attempts are coming from on my authenticator App, but I am still receiving dozens of requests a day even after a password reset.

I have the same issue. This is very annoying as I have to decline the requests 4 or 5 times per day.

I have no way of seeing from which country the attempts are made, but all declined attempts for the past months can be blocked by Microsoft.
Please advise on how to stop these annoying attempts.

I am posting here to confirm that this problem is still occurring in April, May, and June, 2026.

For the last three months I have been receiving multiple notifications daily of sign in requests on my authenticator app, and yet when I check the log on my account page on the website, there are no matching requests. I have disabled notifications for the Microsoft Authenticator on my phone as a result. I am probably going to remove it from my phone and account and just stick with my physical USB security key as my authentication method from now on since Microsoft has no answers, responses, or solutions for this constant annoyance and I recommend that others do the same.

Yubikeys can be purchased on Amazon and other online retailers for around $30 USD. I know this isn't an ideal solution because it costs money, but it is very effective at keeping bad actors out of your accounts by requiring them to have that physical key, and with that peace of mind, will remove the need for apps on your phone and annoying notifications. The keys are NFC as well as USB so you can just tap them to your other devices to log in.

From what I have heard, attackers have been able to cache user's MFA sessions when they login normally and resending those push notifications and hoping you accept one of them eventually. I am getting the same thing, MFA requests from Brazil to Ukraine and I just keep denying them all. We use Microsoft's MFA for a lot of services here and it's funny how unsecure Microsoft ACTUALLY is, vs what they claim to be; just from experience.

It is august 2026 and i'm having the same issue. The request itself says it comes from different countries around the world, but in in my overview i only see my own (succesfull) logins.
