Surface Go 3 Won’t Charge After Storage: What to Do When Your Warranty Expired
Surface Go 3 Battery Not Charging. Warranty Expired. Service Order Website Errors out. Help
I bought the Surface Go 3 in feb 2022and forgot about it and just opened it. It is new, never been used, and stored in very climate controlled room. But the battery does not charge. My warranty expired last year. i am trying to submit a repair service order online but keep getting an error which is frustration. i am wondering what my options are at this point. every part is never been used. if the battery is broken or corrupt i would like to talk about refurbishment. but all microsoft stores are closed in texas. Online support sucks. They keep taking me back to the page that keeps giving me an error. I miss humans. I need someone to help me please. There has to be something i can do aside from throwing it away. i would rather microsoft look at versus a third party local repair shop

2026-01-11T02:08:01.43+00:00 If your Surface Go 3 battery is not charging and your warranty has expired, you have several options for repair:
- Customer Self Repair: You can attempt a self-repair using parts from Authorized Device Resellers. Instructions for self-repair can be found in the Customer self-serve repair documentation.
- Microsoft In-Region Repair: You can submit a repair request through the Surface Management Portal or Surface Support Portal. This option is available for eligible devices, and you may want to try accessing the portal again to see if the issue persists.
- Authorized Service Providers: You can send your device to an Authorized Service Provider for repairs. This option is available if you prefer not to handle the repair yourself.
- Battery Replacement Service: Microsoft offers battery replacement services for the Surface Go 3, which is available worldwide, except in specific regions. You can inquire about the costs associated with this service.
If you continue to experience errors when trying to submit a service order online, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support directly via phone or email for assistance. They may be able to help you troubleshoot the issue with the service order submission.
