A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation
How to avoid Error 400 when signing in to Minecraft Launcher on Linux Mint?
I've downloaded the official .DEB version of Minecraft Launcher for Linux Mint and got it installed correctly. When I go to sign in with my Microsoft account, I get the following message: "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in. For more details, please see ****this link"
The link it directs to is this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/error-400-when-signing-in-7af27146-7624-4397-a374-6f8eae4367fe
I have two-factor authentication set up with an authenticator app (Duo Mobile) but the minecraft launcher never even asks for my two-factor authentication. If I try to sign in with fingerprint, PIN, or security key, it only asks for security key, no options for PIN. I even tried signing in via Github and linked those accounts to no avail: signing in via Github leads me to the same "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in" message.
I can also confirm that I have purchased Minecraft Java Edition at https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/msaprofile.
Please help! What can I do to sign in to the official Minecraft Launcher with my Microsoft account? I definitely have purchased it and can't sign in to the Launcher.
