I have faced this issue for over a month now, and I have tried everything, but I still can't find a solution. My account is Edge always gets signed out for no reason, either by itself after a small period of time or when I restart my Windows. I also noticed that when Edge sings out every other program that uses my email sings out too, for example, Outlook (Classic), Word, and then I get asked to activate by phone. Another app that keeps singing out is Adobe Creative Cloud, and every time I sign in after a period of time, it will ask me to sign out from the same device that I'm already using and sign in again. This issue is so constant and annoying, and I don't know what the problem is. I also notice that sometimes I get an activation message for my Windows after using the device for a while, and then when I restart it disappears and then comes back again.

These are the things that I have tried to fix the issue with no luck

1- Installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 (done it 4 times), and I even tried to use Edge only on the fresh install without using any other apps or drivers, and the problem still exists.

2- Installing a fresh copy of Windows 11 (done it 3 times), and the issue still remains, and I'm constantly being logged out.

3- Reset my @live email password and deleted all the devices linked to this email, and did some resets.

4- Removed 2FA, and still the same problem

5- Reuse 2FA and still same problem.

6- Used a VM machine on the same computer and still same problem exists.

7- Done some kind of reset that was showing on my web email account settings, and still the same issue.

I really don't know what to do anymore.

Hello Alx,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how inconvenient and annoying it could be when your PC keeps sign you out once in a while. Before we proceed, I'd like to ask a few questions to better understanding this.

  • May I know if you remember any changes was made to your computer before this starts?
  • Please go to account.microsoft.com/activity to see if there are any activity that you may not recognized.

In the meantime, please try this fix to see if it helps.

  • Sign out of your account on all platform and apps.
  • Type "Credentials manager" in the search bar and press Enter.
  • Remove all entries related to your affected accounts.
  • Restart your computer and sign in again one by one to make sure it is okay.

Windows 11 update just took place. After reboot and log in 2 minutes into being on Edge I was logged out of my Windows account and had to log back in and lost what I was doing! How is Edge doing this and why? Does Microsoft suck so much they can not come up with a logical solution instead of something that looks like a uneducated child created this solution!
