    Hi @Valeria Aparicio

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you very much for reaching out regarding the issue with your SharePoint List form. I truly appreciate your patience and the detailed information you provided.

Based on your description, the form appears to be failing at the point where it attempts to save the submitted data to the underlying SharePoint list. Since the form worked as expected previously, this strongly suggests that a change may have occurred after the initial setup rather than an issue with how the form was originally created.

Given this situation, here are my recommendations, which I hope will be helpful to you:

1/ Verify SharePoint list column changes

Please review the SharePoint list connected to the form and confirm whether any of the following changes were made recently:

    • A column was renamed or deleted
    • A column’s data type was changed (for example, from Single line of text to Choice or Date
    • A column was set to Required, but the form does not provide a value for it
    • Default values for columns were removed or modified

Even small changes to list columns can cause form submissions to fail, especially if the form still references an earlier version of the list structure.

2/ Review list‑level permissions and submission context

Although the issue is occurring for the form owner, I recommend verifying that the SharePoint list is still inheriting permissions as expected and that the submission context has not changed.

    Please check the following:

    • The SharePoint list has not been configured with unique permissions
    • The list allows item creation and editing for the owner account
    • If the form is customized or uses automation, the submission is using the expected user or connection context

In some scenarios, form submissions may fail even for owners if list‑level permissions or the execution context differ from site‑level access.

3/ Review Automation and Form customization (If applicable)

If the SharePoint form has been customized or uses automation, please review any related Power Automate flows and Power Apps form logic that may be triggered during submission.

    Please check the following:

    • Any Power Automate flows triggered on item creation or modification, and whether there are failed runs
    • That all flow connections are still valid and the flows are enabled
    • For customized Power Apps forms, ensure that all formulas, validation rules, and Patch/SubmitForm logic still reference existing columns in the SharePoint list
    • Confirm that no recent updates to the form or automation could be impacting the submission process

In some cases, changes to automation or customized form logic can prevent items from being created or updated, resulting in a generic error message during form submission.

4/ Consider temporary service or browser‑related issues

As a final step, I recommend:

    • Trying to submit the form in an InPrivate/Incognito browser window
    • Testing with a different browser

    5/ Contact Microsoft Support

If the issue persists even after these steps, it may stem from a deeper system-level cause. In this case, I recommend contacting your organization's IT administrator, who can submit a support request to Microsoft through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. They’ll be able to access system-level information to investigate the issue thoroughly and provide assistance. At the very least, they can offer the most effective workaround to ensure your experience remains smooth and secure.
