Your subscription is not eligible for Brand and Campaign registration.

I'm trying to purchase a Local SMS number. It tells me "To enable SMS functionality for local numbers, you need to submit a brand and ensure your campaign is approved first.Click here to submit your brand"

However when I go to submit a brand, I get "Your subscription is not eligible for Brand and Campaign registration."

The subscription is a Pay Per Use subscription in the US. I don't know why it wouldn't be eligible.

The brand and campaign registration process requires the following as per official documentation for 10DLC registration

An active Azure Communication Services (ACS) resource in your subscription.

An eligible subscription, which you’ve already confirmed.

Have you created an ACS resource? If so, brand registration can be done directly from that resource.

If you have one, please check the following:

Go to your Azure Communication Services resource in the portal.

Select Telephony and SMS > Phone Numbers.

Scroll to the Country/Regional Availability of Telephone Numbers and Subscription Eligibility for ACS section.

Let us know the exact message or status shown for your subscription. A screenshot would be helpful if you’re comfortable sharing one, and you can redact any sensitive information.

My subscription is Pay-As-You-Go. It's had a valid payment method for years. This subscription does not use any promotional credits. My current monthly bill is about $350.

These features require a fully paid subscription without promotional credits to meet US carrier regulations.

To resolve this, please check your subscription in the Azure portal to see if it uses free credits. If it does, consider converting it to a standard Pay-As-You-Go subscription by adding a valid payment method and allowing any credits to expire or be removed. Afterward, you should be able to register your brand under Communication Services > Telephony and SMS > Regulatory Documents.

This is the same issue I have here, and the suggested resolution doesn't apply because our subscription is already a standard Pay-As-You-Go with no promotional credits remaining (the freetier promotion expired Jan 10, 2026). The subscription metadata still carries the legacy freetier flag. Is there any way you can remove it so we can proceed with 10DLC registration?
