new phone lost access to authenticator and can’t verify my school accounts due to this

i got a new phone about a week ago and i’ve been logged out of my authenticator app. it asks me for a code to log in but i can’t log in… makes no sense. i need urgent help, im having these issues with my school account. i need to access it to make payments and enrollments and im locked out. i’ve tried from my computer and my second phone. i don’t know what the problem is, someone please help. if i don’t get this sorted soon i won’t be able to attend this following semester since i can’t make payments or even log into my school accounts without the authenticator.

2025-12-27T20:12:56.5+00:00 microsoft does not allow me to verify any other way, i try logging into my school email and it immediately asks for a code. i click on verify another way can’t access my authenticator app and it then prompts me to select either; approve log in on your authenticator app or get new code. this doesnt make sense … i can’t verify with my number im at a loss
