Hello,
First prepare the Excel file. Store it in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, then create a table with columns such as PostedBy, Message, Mentions, PostedAt. Make sure it is a real Excel table, not just a range, or Power Automate will not find it. (learn.microsoft.com)
Create an automated cloud flow and choose the Microsoft Teams trigger named When a new channel message is added. Select your Team and Channel. Note that this specific trigger does not fire for replies to an existing thread
Right after the trigger, add the Teams action Get message details. Feed it the Message Id from the trigger. If you do not immediately see the properties you want, run one test post and look at the action outputs in the run history, then map from there.
To collect the @ mentions into a single cell, initialize a string variable named Mentions to empty, then add an Apply to each over the mentions array from Get message details. Inside the loop, Append to string variable with the display text of the current mention plus a comma and a space. After the loop, optionally remove the trailing comma and space with a small expression, or leave it as is. If your message does not include mentions, this variable will stay empty, which is fine.
Finally add the Excel Online Business action Add a row into a table. Point it to your file and table, then map fields. Map PostedBy to the sender display name, Message to either the plain text preview or the HTML body as you prefer, Mentions to the variable you built, and PostedAt to the created date from the trigger or the details action. Save the flow and post a quick test in the channel with one or two @ mentions to validate the output.
If you want, I can adjust the mappings and the mention loop to the JSON your tenant returns. Share a redacted screenshot of the Get message details outputs for one sample message and I will give you the exact expressions to drop into the flow.
