To set up your preinstalled Microsoft 365 on your new HP laptop while managing your existing subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Stop Renewal of Your Current Subscription:
    • Log in to your Microsoft account associated with your current subscription.
    • Navigate to the subscriptions section and find the option to turn off recurring billing. This will prevent your subscription from renewing on January 2, 2026.
  2. Set Up Preinstalled Microsoft 365:
    • Once you have turned off the renewal, you can proceed to set up the preinstalled Microsoft 365 on your new laptop.
    • Open any Office application (like Word or Excel) on your new laptop.
    • Sign in with the same Microsoft account that has the existing subscription. This should activate your preinstalled Office with your current subscription.
  3. Verify Activation:
    • After signing in, check if your Office applications are activated. You can do this by going to the account section within any Office app and confirming that it shows your subscription status.

By following these steps, you will be able to use the preinstalled Microsoft 365 on your new laptop without renewing your old subscription.
