Why authenticator stuck when trying to complete identity validation process?
I am trying to create the Microsoft Trusted Signing certificate profile, I got an email from Microsoft Azure to ask me to complete the Action required: Complete your identity validation process.
I am encountering an issue when attempting to complete the action required of the identity validation process.
When I click the link of "Complete identity validation" from the email, it shows a web site with the following contents:
Present your Verified ID.
Scan QR Code with Microsoft Authenticator
[QR code]
When I scan the QR code with the Microsoft Authenticator app from my cell-phone. Both the authenticator and the web site show that the process is starting, but the button of Share the verified ID on the authenticator remains disabled for ever, causing the process to hang until it times out.

2025-12-16T00:05:27.3666667+00:00 Hi Rukmini,
Thanks for your help. I have followed the instruction of How to create an Azure support request - Azure supportability | Microsoft step-by-step. I didn't find the link "Create a support request". Instead I only see the link "Get support of Microsoft Q&A" at the place where the link "Create a support request" should appear.

On February 12, 2025, the developer support plan provided a new experience where you receive business hours access to Support Engineers on Microsoft Q&A with prioritized responses, as the first line of support.
For details on the SLAs and other benefits provided for each support plan, please see here.
Please check and share the details over the private messages so that we can assist you further.

2025-12-23T00:44:48.88+00:00 Hello Rukmini,
I went to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/ page, clicked "Get my Verified ID" and got a QR code. I scanned the QR code with my Authenticator and successfully added my verified ID into my Authenticator.
Then I retried scanning the QR code from the Trusted Signing required action of "Complete identity validation", the problem still persists.
Thanks,
Guang
