How to highlight only a date available to book a training session on a Microsoft Shared Booking Page

Hello

I have a shared booking page for our team for staff to book onto training sessions, usually only one session per month. How do I block out dates which are not available to book or highlight/bold the date available?

Hi Tracey,

Microsoft Bookings shows all open dates by default, and there's no direct way to bold a specific date. But you can manage which dates show up by tweaking the service's availability.

Bookings uses your hours and staff availability to decide what slots to show. So, other dates are likely open in the calendar.

To fix this, set a custom availability for the service. Just enable the training date and time. That will hide the rest. For extra visibility, add a note in the service description like, Next session: [Date]. This will help users see it clearly.

Are you using the new or old version of Bookings?

    Hi @Tracey Adam

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the information you described, I understand that you want to configure your Microsoft Shared Booking page so that only specific dates (e.g., one training session per month) are available to be booked, while effectively blocking out/graying out all other dates on the calendar.

After testing this in my environment, I have outlined the steps below to achieve this configuration:

-Open your Bookings Page > Go to Services and select Edit service for the specific training session you are setting up.User's image

-Configure Availability Options > Look for the Availability options section > Set Default to "Not Bookable" > Under General availability, select "Not bookable" > Select "Set different availability for a date range" > Change the availability dropdown to "Custom hours (recurring weekly)".

Note: Select the trashcan icon next to any specific day rows if those dates are not intended to be booked > Select Save changes.

-Use the Booking Page link to double-check your calendar and share it.

Note: You can repeat this process to add multiple different date ranges for future months. You can also customize time slots per day if needed, which is useful for events that span multiple days but have different hours.

Below is an image from my environment showing the result after I scheduled a meeting.
