Trying to start halo infinite from steam but get stuck in a login loop... Microsoft.... please... improve your user experience

Hi microsoft, I HAVE TRIED FOR THE LAST 7 HOURS TO LOG INTO MY MICROSOFT ACCOUNT FOR HALO INFINITE ON PC DOWNLOADED FROM STEAM. Every time I try and login when running the game it puts me into a login loop and never enters the game. I have tried EVERYTHING. From signing out of my account to resetting it to even removing everything labeled xbl in the client credentials section. NOTHING. HAS. WORKED.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THIS ISSUE HAS PERSISTED FOR 5 GODDAM YEARS POST RELEASE?

Please can you take care of this problem and take care of your users, experiencing this is absolute garbage.

Please for God's sake help.

Its extremely infuriating. Add in the steamdeck on top and im having the same issue but worse. Nothing they suggets helps

Hello, Since it’s a Microsoft/xbox game and uses those credentials make sure to clear not just the xbl from credential manager but Microsoft as well.

Also try clearing the Microsoft store’s credentials as well.

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box,

type wsreset.exe -i

and then select OK.

Since you’re on steam, steam might be saving your login, try running the game with cloud saves disabled, right click on the game in your steam library, go to properties, and find cloud save, you can either delete them or disable them temporarily.

After browsing the internet for many proposed solutions, this one was it. A lot of other responses just have you delete a credential whereas a full reset of both Microsoft and XBL credentials was necessary. Thank you for this!
