Unable to restore backup on Android app

Hello,
I recently broke the android phone I was using for 2FA (with MS authenticator). On my new phone, I can't restore the MS authenticator backup: when I try to login to do so, after putting email and password I only see a white screen and nothing happens.

I can access my MS account on the web without issues, even on the same android phone's browser. Just in the webview of the MS authenticator app, the login is going nowhere.

I tried different connections (wifi/data), rebooting the phone, clearing cache and data of both the MS Authenticator app and the Android webview app. No changes.
