Hello,

Any chance you were logging into one of the following alias?

outlook.com

hotmail.com

live.com

msn.com

it means the email address has been deleted. Can be due to inactivity for at least 2 years or deleted by someone.

Microsoft doesn't reuse its own email address, so it cannot be created again.

this is a persistent issue apparently, many more users in my social circles encounter this, including me, leaving us with paying for an ms365 subscription for years without access.
hours and hours over months and months chatting mailing calling form posting, all futile... we're left to request a credit card renewal to block the subscription.

If you are encountering a message that says your email doesn't exist when trying to log in, but you receive a message stating that the email is already in use when attempting to create a new account, it may indicate that your email is associated with an existing account but is not recognized in the login process. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Verify Email Address: Ensure that you are entering the correct email address without any typos or extra spaces.
    2. Check Account Status: If you believe your email should be associated with an account, try signing in at https://login.microsoftonline.com/ to see if you can access it there.
    3. Contact Support: If you still cannot access your account, contact your organization's help desk or Microsoft support for assistance. They can help verify the status of your email and account.
    4. Account Recovery: If you are using a personal account, you can select the "Can't sign in" link on the sign-in page and follow the account recovery process.

These steps should help you resolve the issue with your email account.
