What is Microsoft VIP -that costs $17.99 per year

I noticed I have an annual subscription with Microsoft for "VIP" that costs $17.99 per year. I don't recall subscribing for this and don't know what it is. Can someone tell me what VIP is for? Thanks.

If you see “VIP” listed under Services & Subscriptions in your Microsoft account, it might be a mislabeled service or a third-party product purchased through Microsoft’s store.

Here are my suggestions, Sign in at account.microsoft.com/services and check if “VIP” appears there.

If it does, click Manage to see details and cancel if you don’t recognize it.

If it’s not listed but shows on your bank statement, it could be a billing label for something else, and you should contact Microsoft Billing Support or your bank to verify and dispute the charge if needed.

Bottom line is Microsoft doesn’t advertise a $17.99/year “VIP” plan, so if you didn’t knowingly subscribe, it’s best to investigate further.

    I looked into it, and there isn’t an official Microsoft subscription called “VIP.” The standard Microsoft plans are Microsoft 365 Personal at $99.99/year, Microsoft 365 Family at $129.99/year, and Microsoft 365 Premium at $199.99/year (which includes Copilot AI features).     The VIP Subscription shows up under my Microsoft Account as an annual subscription next due on Jan. 13th 2026. I also have Microsoft 360 Family as a separate subscription next due in June of 2026.

    Thanks for your assistance in understanding the VIP subscription. If we can't figure out what it is for I will cancel it.
