How to stop hacking attempts in email and authenticator

November 19-21 I received multiple requests on the authenticator app requesting one time code or passwords.

I also received several emails in outlook from various accounts of mine stating password was reset or password request links to move forward with resets.

my PayPal account was taken over as well as several others.

there were numerous send failure emails and drafts in my outlook box that I did not create or attempt to send.

I have successfully changed my email password and recorded a few accounts so far but I continue to get notifications on authenticator requesting me to verify one of three numbers. Since I am not attempting to log into any accounts, I select deny.

how can I determine what the hackers are trying to access? Authenticator does not show me the account but simply wants me to select the correct number. I need to stop these scammers and I don’t know which account they are trying to access.
