Unable to back-up from autheticator app

I recently got a new phone (Android) to which I installed microsoft authenticator.
I tried making a back-upp on my old phone (also android), but I keep getting the message "something went wrong. please send us logs using the send logs option".
As I am uable to make a back-up I am also unable to (re)install a few different work accounts on my new phone.
How can I resolve this issue?
