I am trying to change my account info and I cannot do it

I am trying to change information to retrieve my account info and update my computer, BUT I can't. I cannot do this because I cannot change my phone number anywhere! I have tried with my authenticator but it will not allow me. And it keeps telling me it is sending a code but I never get the code to go through the many security steps. So I just need some help so I can receive a code and update my computer and of course a phone number is standing in the way. Any help would be happily appreciated!

If you can’t receive codes, Microsoft blocks security‑info changes—use the Microsoft Sign‑in Helper / verification troubleshooter to recover access or wait out any temporary risk block, since support cannot bypass or manually send codes or change your phone number for you.

Once you regain sign‑in, add a backup method first (alternate email or Authenticator app push), then update your phone number; if codes still don’t arrive, try a different verification option or complete the account recovery flow to reset security info
