Can't log in / authenticate on Windows Defender / Security centre

Recently got a PC running windows 11, and tried to wrap up some of the last security measures. However for one last step it needs me to log in with my microsoft account. Which is fine on its own... except no matter what I try, I can't log in.

1 - When using the 2fa code through email, that email just never arrives.

2 - When using a password, it never recognizes my password to be correct.

What's odd is that, when logging in on microsoft through literally any other platform or way, it works perfectly fine, meaning my info isn't changed or outdated.
