how to login my authenticator when im not logged on it anywhere and it requires identity proof through in-app codes

i cannot log into my authenticator app because it can only verify my identity through in-app codes that i dont have access too, i would liek to know what to do to verify my identity? cant they just send me a code via email to help me recover it. i need it for school, its my college account.
