How to approve a sign in request from the Authenticator app while using the Authenticator app?

I have two emails on the Authenticator app that I need to sign in to. I signed into the first one without a problem, but when I try to sign into the 2nd email, it asks me to approve the sign in by opening the Authenticator app and approve the request by entering the number if prompted. But I am already in the app, so I cannot approve the request by opening the app. And it does not give me an option to use another way to approve the request. Help!
