Can’t use my Authenticator or get codes after changing phones

I recently bought a new phone changed to a new device logged in and I somewhat have to somehow start my entire Authenticator from zero they say confirm account through Authenticator inside the Authenticator app I don’t even understand how that works . The old device I don’t have access to anymore it was a trade in with apple
