How can I get onedrive to stop trying to take my files off of my computer

There's nothing more infuriating than not having control of where my files are located. This OneDrive BS that I actually consider to be ransomware is driving me nuts. I never want to save files anywhere aside from the hard drive on the computer I am using. If I want them to be elsewhere, I will move them there.

I want ONEDRIVE to cease to exist in my computing. How do I get rid of it? I've uninstalled it, logged out of it online, every time I try to get rid of it, it starts saving my files somewhere else and creating duplicate directories that are making my life impossible.

HOW DO I GET IT OUT????
