How do I login to my Microsoft account on the authenticator app without being able to use a code from the app

Question

How do I login to my Microsoft account on the authenticator app without being able to use a code from the app

Natasha Kenny - STUDENT 10

I am trying to log into my Microsoft account for college on the Microsoft app. I need the Authenticator to access other apps. I cannot add my account to the Authenticator app successfully as it keeps asking for a code that I have no access to since I can’t use the code in the app when I’m trying to log in.

Same thing is happening to me, trying to sign into a work account and it won’t send me the code, and when I’m on the app trying to setup different methods, it opens the browser inside the app so it sends me a code I can’t access because I have to back out of the browser within the app and cancel the process to then get no code. Why does it not open up my browser through the browsers app instead of blocking me from doing anything because it wants to open on the Authenticator app? Poor app design right there
