I can't add my account to microsoft authenticator app

I have trouble add an account to my authenticator app on my new iPhone. THe previous one is lost. I use my email and password from my microsoft account but it does not work. I cant even reset my passwod. I cant even use my phone number to log in even though it is the same as it is in my microsoft account. What should I do? Thanks for help!
