Adding an existing outlook email to log into new computer

Upgraded my work computer, currently logged into my microsoft account through an app on my phone, Authenticator, logged in using my web browser on my home Mac computer, etc, etc. no issues. The new computer is asking simple questions, I’ve been able to verify and log into my account multiple different ways. I was able to use my phone number to be found on one account, now it’s saying to add an email. Input my email that is used consistently throughout all of my other logins and I keep getting the message “there’s a temporary problem with this service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.” I don’t want to create a new email to be able to sign in, I was to use my one and only account so my settings from my old computer will transfer over to my new computer. I am not trying to log into outlook, I am trying to simply turn the windows computer on and use it and hopefully have my old settings pull up. Please help.
