When I right-click "Open file location" it open OneDrive in the browser. I want to open in Windows Explorer. This is a new bug. Is there a workaround? It's wasting a lot of time because I have to navigate through folders to get to my file.

    Hi David Bradbury,

Thanks for raising this and reaching out in Microsoft community, you're definitely not the only one running into it. When you right-click and choose "Open file location," and it opens in the browser instead of File Explorer, it’s usually because the file is stored only in the cloud or part of a shared folder. It’s a known issue, and Microsoft is looking into it, though there’s no official fix yet.

In the meantime, a few things might help, turning off Files On-Demand in OneDrive settings can make files open locally again, and using the Recent Files list in apps like Word or Excel might save you some clicks. If it’s a shared folder, re-syncing OneDrive or unlinking and re-linking your account could also help.

I know it’s not ideal, but hopefully one of these workarounds can make things a bit smoother until the issue is resolved. Let me know if you’d like help with any of the steps.

    Best,
    Carl
