How does one remove/disable the event summary card in emails?

The email itself already contains event details. It annoys me that there is another portion of the email that contains basically the same info. It further annoys me that this redundancy is taking up space by being expanded & pinned by default. I want to remove/disable it, because I only need to see the event details once, not twice. Please refer to the red highlight in the screenshot below. Thanks!

Hi @Christopher Gonzales
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your information in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. The red-highlighted section is the native meeting invitation header in Outlook. It shows the meeting title, date/time, RSVP buttons, and organizer info. This header is automatically generated for any email that is a meeting invite (or contains an .ics calendar attachment). As a user, I can empathize with your feeling about that inconvenience. Unfortunately, this specific header cannot be completely disabled in Outlook, it’s a core feature. However, here are some suggestions you can try:

Use Reading Pane or Simplified View

Switch to Compact View or disable the Reading Pane in Outlook desktop (View > Reading Pane > Off). This reduces the visual space taken by the card.

Feedback to Microsoft

I have this issue as well. I would even accept a way to make it much smaller. It seems like between this and the broken search function, Microsoft has forgotten its users in favor of forcing AI slop and a lack of customization on us. Disappointing from such a brand
