Hi @Eric Campbell,

The message you're seeing: "The properties of the message have been changed. Want to save your changes to this message?", typically appears in Classic Outlook for Windows when you've made changes to the original email after forwarding it.

This can happen even if the changes are minor or unintentional, such as:

  • Clicking into the body of the original message
  • Adding or editing a category, flag, or follow-up
  • Modifying the subject line or any metadata

Outlook detects these as changes and prompts you to save them before closing the message.

  • If you didn’t intend to make any changes, you can safely click No.
  • If you want to preserve any edits (e.g., notes or flags), click Yes.
  • If you're unsure, click Cancel to review the message before deciding.

Hope my information helps. Let me know if you need any further questions.
