How to fix headset only being detected as an output method

Hello there,

Recently i have been trying to fix an issue with my computer's microphone and headset settings.
My computer has a mixed headset jack --meaning it only has one jack dedicated to supporting a headset with microphone and audio capabilities.

The device manager lists all the headsets with mics that i use as a "audio ENDPOINT". However, my headsets have headset mics too. But, the system doesn't recognize the mic. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and using different headsets but it won't fix the problem.
Any solutions?
