We have cleared our browser cookies and cache, and the Trust Sender and Show Blocked Content Buttons are still not working. We have opened Outlook in Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Brave Browsers, and the same problem exists.

Experiencing the same issue. All mailboxes on our exchange server.

It does work in the background but clicking the buttons does not clear the message - it just eventually disappears on the email an hour or so later.

So Microsoft have yet again broke something.

    Hi info chiangraitimes.com

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I know how frustrating it can be when something as simple as trusting a sender or displaying content doesn’t work the way it should.

To better understand the situation and tailor the guidance to your setup, could you help confirm the following:

    • Are you using a personal Outlook account (like @outlook.com) or a Microsoft 365 work/school account?
    • When you click “Trust Sender” or “Show Blocked Content”, do you see any error messages, or is there simply no response?
    • Could you share a screenshot of the affected email (kindly blur or crop out any sensitive info)?

Meanwhile, please refer to these suggestions as workarounds:

    • Open Outlook Web in an incognito/private window to rule out interference from extensions or cached data.
    • If you have access to the Outlook desktop app, try viewing the same message there. If the options work fine in the desktop version, the problem is likely browser-specific.
    • Some browser extensions, especially AdBlock and uBlock Origin, are known to interfere with Outlook Web features. Try disabling these (if installed), then refresh the page. Also, check if pop-up blockers or other content blockers are running. For further information: Supported browsers for Outlook on the web and Outlook.com
    • Ensure that the senders you want to trust are not listed in the Blocked Senders list and manually add the sender to your Safe Senders list so content is always shown in future messages: Add recipients to the Safe Senders List in Outlook

I’ll do my best to support you with practical steps and connect you with the right resources. I hope some of these steps help move things in the right direction.

I'm looking forward to seeing your response soon.
