We have cleared our browser cookies and cache, and the Trust Sender and Show Blocked Content Buttons are still not working. We have opened Outlook in Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Brave Browsers, and the same problem exists.

Experiencing the same issue. All mailboxes on our exchange server.

It does work in the background but clicking the buttons does not clear the message - it just eventually disappears on the email an hour or so later.

So Microsoft have yet again broke something.

Same issue. See the damning screenshot below. I click "Trust sender", and sometimes, this immediately downloads the images in the current email. Often it does not. After clicking "Trust sender"--and even after adding the sender's domain to the Safe Sender list--then closing and re-opening outlook, I still see the blocked content banner and no downloaded images. The trusted sender behavior for downloading external images is extremely buggy/inconsistent. I wish there was a sweeping option in New Outlook to just download all images automatically, like in Outlook classic.User's image

    Dear info chiangraitimes.com

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question/context/image to cover your data in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.

Thank you for your reply and patience while I investigated the issue with the "Trust sender" and "Show blocked content" buttons not working in Outlook Web App (OWA).

As a moderator, I’ve tested this issue in my own environment and tried my best to reproduce what you’re experiencing. When I open an email from a sender who isn’t on the Safe Senders list, those two buttons show up. But when I click them, nothing seems to happen, and there’s also no feedback or visible change.User's image

However, after I refresh the page and go back to the email, the buttons disappear, then I noticed the sender is automatically added to the Safe Senders list.User's image So, even though it looks like the buttons aren’t working, the action is actually happening in the background. Could you please check your own Safe Senders list in Outlook Web App to see if the sender has been added after you click the button and refresh?

Based on this, it seems like a bug or UI glitch in the Outlook Web App interface. However, accessibility and user experience are priorities, I strongly encourage you to share your experience through Help > Feedback in the Outlook app or by visiting Microsoft Feedback Portal.

If my response was helpful, even in part, I’d be grateful if you could mark it as the Accepted Answer. It helps other affected users find this thread more easily and acknowledges the support you received.User's image
