A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out, and we’re truly sorry to hear that the “Move to” command in OneDrive online isn’t working as expected. We know how important it is to be able to organize your files quickly and easily, and we understand how frustrating it can be when a feature you rely on suddenly stops working.
We appreciate you taking the time to report this, and we’re here to help you through it.
What’s Happening
We’re currently aware of an issue affecting some users where the “Move to” and “Copy to” options in OneDrive for Web may not respond or complete the action. This can happen when:
-The destination folder doesn’t load properly.
-The Move or Select button doesn’t appear.
-Clicking the command doesn’t trigger any action.
This issue appears to be related to recent updates on the OneDrive web platform, and our engineering team is actively investigating it.
What You Can Try in the Meantime
-While we work on a fix, here are a few steps that may help:
-Try a Different Browser or Private Window
-Open OneDrive in a different browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox).
-Or try using Incognito/Private mode to rule out cache or extension conflicts.
-Use Drag-and-Drop as a Temporary Workaround
-You can still move files by dragging them into the desired folder in the left-hand navigation pane.
Use the OneDrive Sync App
-If you have the OneDrive desktop app installed, you can move files using File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac). Changes will sync automatically to the cloud.
-Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
-This can help resolve interface issues caused by outdated or corrupted data.
Please let us know if these steps help resolve the issue, or if you need further assistance. We're here to help!
