Gallery Albums?

Why Albums Aren’t Displayed in OneDrive

When syncing your Samsung Gallery with OneDrive, the individual photos are backed up, but the album structures are not. This is because albums in Samsung Gallery are virtual groupings and do not correspond to actual folders. As a result, OneDrive does not recognize or replicate these album groupings during the sync process.

Available Options to Organize Your Photos

Option 1: Use Folders Instead of Albums

• On your phone or PC, create folders named after your original albums (e.g., “Vacation 2025”, “Family”, etc.).
• Move the corresponding photos into these folders.
• OneDrive will recognize and display these folders accordingly.

Option 2: Create Albums Directly in OneDrive

• Navigate to the Photos tab in OneDrive.
• Select Albums > New Album.
• Choose the photos you’d like to include and assign a name to the album.

Option 3: Continue Using Samsung Gallery for Album View

• If you prefer viewing your photos in album format, you can continue using Samsung Gallery. It can still display photos stored in OneDrive if the integration is enabled.

Thank you for your response and the attachment. I understand how frustrating it can be when your albums appear in OneDrive’s Files section, but it's not integrated. The Gallery app may not recognize OneDrive folders as albums unless explicitly linked or indexed. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

What You Can Try:

Option 1. Check OneDrive Settings in the Gallery App:

Open the Gallery app.

Tap the menu (three dots) in the top-right corner and go to Settings.

Ensure Sync with OneDrive is enabled.

Tap View synced albums to check if any are listed.

Option 2. Reorganize Albums in OneDrive:

Open the OneDrive app or go to onedrive.com.

Create folders named after your albums.

Move the corresponding photos into these folders.

After syncing, Samsung Gallery may recognize these folders as albums.

Option 3. Clear the Gallery App Cache:

Go to Settings → Apps → Gallery → Storage.

Tap Clear Cache.

Restart your phone and check the Albums tab again.
