Valid Office 365 subscription shown as expired

I have a Microsoft 365 Family Classic account using ******@outlook.com. This is active, is working fine, and is next due for subscription in 2026

I have previously invited family member ******@outlook.com to a subscription under the family account. This has worked fine for years, but this morning showed as subscription expired.

When I log into ******@outlook.com, the account tab shows “Your Microsoft 365 Family subscription has expired”. It then offers me opportunities to renew this – either with a Family subscription or with an individual personal subscription.

If I try to re-invite ******@outlook.com to my current family subscription, it wont allow me to, telling me that I am already invited. I cannot find a way to de-invite Member so that I can then resubscribe.

In summary, I have an invited subscriber to an active and valid Microsoft 365 which is showing as expired, and I cannot resolve this. Any ideas?

    I had the exact same issue. What is really frustrating, even after it has now been fixed, is that Microsoft refuses to apologize or even admit that they caused the error in the first place. They don't seem to care about their customers anymore - just greed. They increased the subscription in South Africa for MS365 by 33% last Month. And the reward? We'll lock you out of your account. Thanks for paying!

    I would really love an admittance and apology....

    This did not work for me.

    I've clicked "Stop sharing" and then "Start sharing" and rejoined the subscription. I am still getting this error.

    Anyone manage to find a way around it?

    Can confirm that a 'stop sharing' and 'start sharing' worked fine in my case with the shared user. Very poor form MS, should at least send an advisory to subscribers that there is an issue.

    I have exactly the same issue as of today, my partner has 'subscription cancelled' on all 365 products while my account remains active, with all apps available, and was renewed a few weeks ago. She looks fine in my account as a shared subscription, tried altering her access level, made no difference. Something has gone seriously wrong at MS this morning.
