we have fix to onedrive shortcut on file explorer

Please let your leadership know that Microsoft will lose customers due to this issue. This same problem manifest itself on my computer today (March 1, 2025) and it's clearly been an issue for a very long time. Since it has not been fixed I'll be migrating my files to a different cloud storage provider, probably Google, and will happily pay more for it. At some point in the near future I'll be canceling my office subscription since I won't need it any more.

Here we are, after nearly 5 years of this trick to share premium account folder with non premium for central storage it finally happen to me.

The trick does not work for me neither, event with rebooting before.

Guess i will wait (like microsoft said on their page) that the issue is resolved and get back to normal.

This solution only applies to Word documents or any files that can be edited online. However, for those of us working in Revit and other software, we face a challenge. We cannot fully access the files unless we download them to continue working. After making changes, we then need to upload the files back to OneDrive so that our coworkers can access them.

I used the username and password for the account the folder is shared with. (The receiver of the shared folder.) This is also the account I am using to login to Windows.
