How can I buy Office 365 without Copilot

You have to cancel o365 not simply turn off renewal.

Any family member would need to turn off OneDrive sync, and download all data to their local PC and then uninstal o365 as they will lose all data when you cancel.

The other person can then buy any Office licence that meets their needs, there is only the single o365 Pers

Copilot features are currently included in both Microsoft 365 Personal and Home subscriptions. This means that it is not possible to purchase a separate Personal 365 plan without Copilot, which is part of the Microsoft 365 suite of features designed to enhance users' productivity and creativity.

If your mother doesn't need to use the Copilot features, you can choose to continue with your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription and just ignore them.The Copilot features don't affect the use of other regular Office applications.

I am sorry, but Copilot is HIGHLY intrusive in 365 products, getting in the way at the MOST inopportune times when I am on screen sharing with clients. I do NOT need that. So YOU will say, disable that. Well, that would be great, except developers stupidly decided to NOT included that option in OneNote. Also, imagine me jotting notes while in an in-person meeting and being constantly distracted by Copilot interfering with my jotting of notes.
MIcrosoft messed up with the recent rollout.

This is a literal, flagrant and outright lie on the part of Microsoft. Do not listen to it, do not believe it. I assume that you are being told by your management to peddle this, and it is not your fault, but it is a flagrant lie from your team.

@ Ellebear Dee You are being forcibly upgraded to Office 365 Personal + CoPilot without approval as a cash grab and a way to pad the adoption of the AI nonsense that Microsoft is now desperately trying to find someone to pay them to use - hence why your bill was changed from £79.99 to £104.99.

For when Microsoft erase this page and pretend it never existed, it says:

2. Find your current subscription and select Manage > Cancel subscription
3. To downgrade to another plan with fewer features, select Microsoft 365 Personal Classic or Microsoft 365 Family Classic, or another plan that works for you.
4. Follow the instructions to complete the switch.

Your existing subscription might not change immediately, but it will automatically switch to the new plan at renewal. You will not be charged for the new plan until it renews. "
