Same problem here, waiting since 2 months without replies by the Customer Service
onedrive search bar not working in any device.

Search bar is not working in apps and website, not results of anything. Even new uploaded files, this is happening after recent design update. Any help?
Is a personal onedrive paid account.

2025-05-05T09:27:06+00:00 They said that several months ago too, but after several updates still no resolution. I'm guessing that it's just a relatively small sub-set of users that are affected, which doesn't make it urgent enough for them to fix the problem in the short term.
All we can do is to keep sending them support requests through the feedback option. With some luck they'll get tired of it, and finally put some devs on the issue.
Another thing is to raise the issue on other platforms like Reddit, Twitter, etc. Maybe that will help to wake them up.
It's either that or leave MS (which I'm considering once I find the time to migrate almost 1TB of data)....

why this happen, so the new design is the root of the problem.
I had did 1 until 9 step but not working.
I hope this problem clear if not must find second cloud to save file.

2025-03-16T13:05:10+00:00 Microsoft does not care about fixing the search indexing issue. Otherwise, the fix would be a simple reindexing option, which is not offered.
