OneDrive shared folders showing up as URL links and not actual folders

Hi,

When will this problem be fixed? It has been unresolved for nearly two months now.

Issue

Some OneDrive shared folders shortcuts located in your My Files folder may show up as .url internet shortcuts instead of actual folders.

If I try to open the folder shortcut, it opens as a webpage instead of a folder.

Best Regards ,

Blanchi Dabre

Sorry for repeating myself, but ...
It appears the issue seems likely to be related to background migration, and we may need to wait for Microsoft to complete the process. However, it's disappointing that Microsoft, as a large and well-established company, has not allocated sufficient resources or responded effectively to expedite the situation. Such handling feels less than professional.

It is absolutely disgraceful that a large company such as Microsoft chooses not to fix something they broke and obviously affecting a lot of their PAYING customers. It is so spotty. On my Mac shared folders do not even show up as a link only on my wife’s Windows computer does it show as a link.

You must download a file to work on it then upload it again. Cannot save a file directly to shared folder, it must be saved first then uploaded.

On one iPad they appear as folders where you can open and save files to.

    On another iPad, it doesn’t.

THIS IS NOT WORKABLE and currently looking for Office 365 alternatives .

I don't have spaces in the folders' names nor does renaming help.

But thanks for sharing, maybe this helps someone else.
