This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since this morning, folders that are shared with me in OneDrive are always opened in the web browser.
Previously, these same shared folders always opened in Windows Explorer.
The fact that the files are only available in the web browser leads to a strong reduction in functionality and is problematic. I saved diles to the folder and different programs on my local pc call these files.
I followed the steps in the procedure:
Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home
I have performed the steps:
Unlink and re-link OneDrive
None of which helped or solved the issue.
This issue appears to have started after installation of the new OneDrive version Build 25.015.0126.0002 (64-bit)
A quick fix for this feature bug is appreciated!

I just moved my family (4 members) and me over to Google Drive. I paid for Google One, which gives us 2T of space. So far, so good. There are differences, but we've decided that we can live with those. One Drive, we could no longer live with, with this problem gone unattended.
Great choice. I too will be canceling my 365 subscription and move to Google. It’s strange a company like Microsoft is deaf ears on this persistent issues which so many users have complained.
For the love of all things holy Microsoft, please conduct more extensive testing before making changes that could cripple such fundamental features of your flagship service (Microsoft 365). The original issue was completely unacceptable, but the fact that you still have not fixed it is beyond the pale. Your software development team should be embarrassed and working overtime to fix this issue!
Please Microsoft, we need an update on the expected timeline to a fix. A week, a month, a year, never?
Labelling something a Hot Issue is not enough, we need some visibility on the expected timeline to a fix. The loss of functionality has been profound.
