Since this morning, folders that are shared with me in OneDrive are always opened in the web browser.
Previously, these same shared folders always opened in Windows Explorer.
The fact that the files are only available in the web browser leads to a strong reduction in functionality and is problematic. I saved diles to the folder and different programs on my local pc call these files.
I followed the steps in the procedure:
Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home
I have performed the steps:
Unlink and re-link OneDrive
None of which helped or solved the issue.
This issue appears to have started after installation of the new OneDrive version Build 25.015.0126.0002 (64-bit)
A quick fix for this feature bug is appreciated!

Yea, not for me. Still broke. File Explorer only shows shared folders as weblinks in Windows 11 Pro version 24H2 OS build 26100.3775. I have to say that this is a new occurrence for me. Previously I had no issues. I went through all the standard debug like the others on this thread. I'll guess I'll continue to wait for MSFT to fix.
hope you'll have the update soon. fyi I did; - disconnect all shared folders for all accounts 2-3weeks ago. and re-link but not solved. and I just waited. one day the symbol of onedrive (cloud, left of the win11 clock) shows eternal syncing as saying "60,000 files are now in sync" and I waited almost 24hours then all solved.
However I still have one shared folder that has malfunction, not accessible via FE, from another account.

I have an old computer on Win10 where the shared folder still works normally, but my daily Win11 laptop opens the weblink url. Guessing it's yet another Win11 bug.

Actually, it broke after re-syncing.
However, if I share the OneDrive folder with another one of my Live accounts, it will open normally in Explorer, BUT, you can't have two Personal OneDrive accounts in the same instance of Windows. I might just have to use two accounts on my computer to access the shared folder.

DOING THE SAME THING FOR ME! Has completely changed my daily tasks and productivity. I hope they fix ASAP!
