OneDrive shared folders always open in webbrowser instead of windows explorer

Since this morning, folders that are shared with me in OneDrive are always opened in the web browser.

Previously, these same shared folders always opened in Windows Explorer.

The fact that the files are only available in the web browser leads to a strong reduction in functionality and is problematic. I saved diles to the folder and different programs on my local pc call these files.

I followed the steps in the procedure:

Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home
I have performed the steps:
Unlink and re-link OneDrive

Reinstalling OneDrive

Reset OneDrive

None of which helped or solved the issue.

This issue appears to have started after installation of the new OneDrive version Build 25.015.0126.0002 (64-bit)
A quick fix for this feature bug is appreciated!

    I don’t think Microsoft is taking this issue seriously. Better move to Google drive.

    imo MS anyway does something to solve this problem not as usual, anyway it's good for customers.

    Me and two of my shared accounts who had been sharing folders with me, all solved.

    I did not do anything, it was automatically solved.

    But some accounts I have the same problem still now.

    I think they do something step by step, account by account.

    So you may need to wait a few days / weeks so that this would be solved soon.

    Now: for solved shared folders from a part of accounts, Accessible via win11 F Explorer & move/copy/paste is available to/from shared folder to my folder/root.
