Since this morning, folders that are shared with me in OneDrive are always opened in the web browser.
Previously, these same shared folders always opened in Windows Explorer.
The fact that the files are only available in the web browser leads to a strong reduction in functionality and is problematic. I saved diles to the folder and different programs on my local pc call these files.
I followed the steps in the procedure:
Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home
I have performed the steps:
Unlink and re-link OneDrive
None of which helped or solved the issue.
This issue appears to have started after installation of the new OneDrive version Build 25.015.0126.0002 (64-bit)
A quick fix for this feature bug is appreciated!

It seems to me that it has been working again since about Friday. I can open the shared folders in Explorer again.
I haven't changed anything since then. I opened or downloaded the files from the browser and edited them there
Almost good Almost good, since this morning I see in the file explorer my Onedrive folders shared by others but I cannot choose the folders to synchronize or not : they are all synchronized.
Dear OneDrive team, please FIX this issue URGENTLY. There are so many paying customers who use this feature, I have purchased 365 family only for this feature, and if cannot be used or fixed, then I would like to reimburse the charges paid and move to Google drive.
Cela fait plus de 8 mois qu'il n'y a pas de solution. Selon la personne qui partage, le dossier partagé est transformé en lien. Seule solutuon : se plaidre directement chez Microsoft (aide dans Onedrive)
Quand la terre entière se plaindra, MS arrêtera de jouer avec copilot et se mettra à résoudre ses bugs....
I have a few folders shared to me from different users.
In the online version, every shared folder seems to have the same status:
But in the the Explorer, one of the shared folders can be opened, but the other three opens up in the browser when I try to open them up. As you can see below, that first folder has a different icon and the Type is not an Internet Shortcut. That first folder is also shared from a different person.
Maybe this can help someone to fix the issue.
