Excessive price increase

This email came from you today....."Starting on 14/05/2025, the price for your Microsoft 365 Family subscription will change from AUD 139.00/year to AUD 179.00/year. "
This is totally excessive and wholly unjustified. I am completely uninterested in using your copilot system. All I want is the Word Excel and PowerPoint on my Mac.

I've seen some responses that suggest I can cancel and subscribe to MS 365 classic for cheaper.. But this not available in Australia. Are we Guinea pigs here to see how much you can gouge out of ordinary people. Shame on you and your ethics.

I think this move by you signals my final association with Microsoft and its products after nearly 40 years.

    This is not the case for everyone. Many have confirmed that depending on your region or your plan, the downgrade is not available for everyone.

    I initially thought that to be true and that it applied to me in Australia. I tried many suggestions and could find no offer to move to MS 365 Classic.

    BUT.. when I found out where to cancel the automatic renewals (which is disappointingly hard to find) the option appeared.

    That might work for you

    Canada is the same. I just cancelled my subscription as it went from $79CAD to $115CAD. I was already using Google for most of my stuff, but this was a "call to action" to cancel my MS account. Thanks Microsoft for giving me the initiative to save myself $79 a year.

    For a laugh I asked co-pilot to write me a letter to vendor that just increased my service cost by 46%. Funny enough, MS Co-pilot thought that was a bad idea too. Maybe they should of asked Co-pilot for some advice prior to increasing fees.

    I am also angry about the price increase from $109 to $159 in January this year. It is excessive and unjustified! I also hate the AI Copilot system and do not want it in my Office or emails. It is annoying and intrusive. All I want is Outlook, Word and Excel. I cancelled but can't find MS 365 classic or any other option than to just re-subscribe for MS 365 at $159 yr. Microsoft needs to reduce the cost or offer cheaper options.

    And MS wonders why their stock has been floundering. CRAZY - if I or anyone else wants AI make it an added value purchase. I and most people do not need it. LOWER THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Actually, you can stay to your original subscription package, just turn off your automatic renewal, they will propose you to stay on your classic subscription witout AI
