Excessive price increase

This email came from you today....."Starting on 14/05/2025, the price for your Microsoft 365 Family subscription will change from AUD 139.00/year to AUD 179.00/year. "
This is totally excessive and wholly unjustified. I am completely uninterested in using your copilot system. All I want is the Word Excel and PowerPoint on my Mac.

I've seen some responses that suggest I can cancel and subscribe to MS 365 classic for cheaper.. But this not available in Australia. Are we Guinea pigs here to see how much you can gouge out of ordinary people. Shame on you and your ethics.

I think this move by you signals my final association with Microsoft and its products after nearly 40 years.

    Thanks everyone for your help and advice.

    While I appreciate the initial inclusion of Co-Pilot with my subscription, I find it misleading that the service is then charged as an additional extra at the end of the subscription period, without clear prior notification of this change. This approach feels underhanded, as it relies on users not questioning the increased cost.

    I believe many customers would appreciate greater transparency and upfront communication about any features that transition from being "free" inclusions to paid add-ons.

    Rate Increase Complaint: In Canada, my notice says increase from $79 to $115. Outrageous. Who is monitoring your corporate activity? Nothing new offered that I want and I don't need all of what was included before. I want the name of someone with some clout to whom I can complain. I want options from Microsoft. In any case I'm actively looking for reasonable competitors. This situation should go public.

    Hi Karen. I thought that too. Go to your account and just cancel your subscription. You'll then see the option to renew using the Classic (no CO-Pilot) at the regular price. Cheers. Brent
