Microsoft authenticator not working on new phone after trying everything suggested

I have a work account where I require Microsoft authenticator to log in to multiple resources, yet when I got a new phone it stopped working, I've tried all the suggestions listed for similar situations yet it still doesn't work. I am logged into the app on my new phone but I do not receive any codes when prompted so I cannot access necessary resources for work. I don't know what else to do, and I need this to be solved. I would like to speak to someone but it is quite challenging to find where to do so. Would love some help.

Can you try removing the account and then adding it back. Here's how:

    • Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new phone.
    • Tap on the account that’s not working.
    • Tap the three dots (menu icon) in the top-right corner and select Remove account.
    • Then, try adding your work account again:
                  - If it doesn't work then you need to reach out to your organisation IT support and ask them to Add a new phone.

Sometimes, after switching devices, the 2FA setup may not work properly because the old phone was tied to the authentication method.

    • Access your Microsoft Account Settings (on a computer or in a browser).
    • Go to the Security section, and disable and re-enable two-factor authentication.

    • Follow the instructions to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new phone, including scanning a new QR code.

    Hope it helps!
