Why has there been a 50% increasing the price of Microsoft 365 Personal? This is an extraordinary increase and unaffordable for most people .

And you went through the process of actually cancelling your subscription?
I found you do have to go further through the 'cancel subscription' process than is comfortable.
Even if you do cancel entirely, you'll keep your subscription until Sept 25th.
However, yes, I had to basically go through the process of cancelling to get the Switch to a subscription that's better for you option to come up. It's a bit of a last ditch effort to keep you so they put it at the end.
I must admit that I am 'very apprehensive' in cancelling my subscription which is due in July this year as there's absolutely nowhere I can see the Classic version being offered. I know you said to go through the process to the very end and one other person said it didn't give them that option at the end. I am in Australia, I wonder if that could be the issue. I have currently turned off my recurring payment until I can comfortably go to the classic. And like so many others here we shouldn't have to go down because we don't want their new Ai features, surely some of them must have some human intelligence to know that this way of doing it is going to upset people.
Aussie user here. Confirming that I went all the way through the cancellation process and I was NOT offered, in any way, the option to revert back to Classic.
Unfortunately I rely very heavily on Onedrive, and to let that lapse in any measure would be a bit of a disaster, so I am most likely going to have to lock in another year until I work out how to resolve that conundrum. At least I have the benefit of having 3 family members that assist in paying for it, but yeah, I don't want the AI ****. I don't need the AI ****, and I believe the absolute **** tin of power being burnt driving it is atrocious.
The next step for me is letting the subscription expire entirely and seeing what happens, but yeah I am very apprehensive of allowing that to happen....
I think so, yes. My subscription hasn't yet expired though, so I guess I won't find out until it does!
