My subscription price also automatically jumped by 50%, and I do not agree to Microsoft upgrading my subscription without my express consent. That said, I followed the instructions posted in this thread by the Microsoft Agent / Moderator, and I'm now back on the basic Microsoft 365 Personal plan and still paying the same price that I've always paid.

My subscription has increased from $69.00 a year to $99.99 effective March 15, 2025. " Word has it that the implementation of AI, copilot, one drive and all the new features I will never apply/use cost more. This is another example of how Microsoft is abusing their monopoly and ripping off consumers. Consumers who use those features should pay for them, I should not pay a 50% increase for features I will never use. One Drive installation in a January update took all my files for 2 weeks and then returned them except some every important file where not returned or on One Drive. Their very hard to reach customer service is horrible and rude and must be a third party not part of Microsoft that don't speak clear English and hard to understand,

I am extremely unhappy with this. They are touting "oh it's because CoPilot AI"...I want nothing to do with CoPilot! I really just need word and excel, powerpoint isn't bad to have either though I haven't used it in years. $100 a year for word and excel is nuts. I don't use Outlook, OneNote, or Access and while I use OneDrive a tiny bit I would cope just fine if it were not part of a plan...Microsoft REALLY needs a 365 plan between Basic and Personal that gives people access to Word and Excel without bundling all this other garbage, and doesn't cost us $100 per year. I was already unhappy with the value at the old price but this is obscene.

My subscription has jum from $11pm to $16pm, why such a large jump? I am a disability pensioner and such a large jump is not sustainable.

I note that copilot is being included. I am not interested in copilot. Is there a subscription level without it?
